Dear All
I recently purchased a laptop from your store. Upon starting it, I noticed that the memory slots are 2/4, meaning there are two additional slots available. This seems unusual. From the information I found online, this laptop should come with two 8GB memory modules pre-installed. If I want to upgrade the memory, it appears I would need to replace all the existing modules.
I have the following questions and would appreciate your assistance:
If I want to upgrade the memory, which type of memory modules should I choose to ensure 5600MHz speed without downclocking?
Do you have any recommended products available on your website for this upgrade?

According to my information, the laptop has only one memory slot in use with a 16Gb 5600MHz RAM module. So you can add another additional 16Gb RAM module (click here for the supported modules). Just to bu sure, you can open the laptop and remove the aluminum cap in the center which hides the RAM module(s). It is always advised to use two similar modules for optimal use. So 2x8 or 2x16. I also noted that the maximum capacity is 32Gb.
Here's a good video to accompany you when opening the laptop:

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, this laptop is behaving quite strangely. In the Task Manager, it shows 2/4 slots in use, meaning there are supposedly two empty slots available. However, after checking the system details, I found that it actually has two Samsung 8GB RAM sticks installed.

I suspect that the Task Manager is displaying incorrect information, as it's unlikely for a laptop to have 4 RAM slots (this is more common in desktops; laptops usually have 2 slots). Considering an upgrade, I’m thinking of replacing the existing two 8GB sticks.

My question is: which brand of two 16GB RAM sticks would be compatible with this laptop? Since it has a 14900HX CPU, I want to avoid issues like downclocking due to mismatched RAM. I try to maintain the 5600 MHz frequency.

Oddly enough, there’s no detailed information available on the Acer official website about this. It makes me question whether this laptop is second-hand. If it were new, as you mentioned, it should have come with a single 16GB stick, and I could simply add another 16GB stick myself.
