Compatibility of AMD Ryzen 5 4500 with GIGABYTE B550M AORUS Elite and BIOS update questions

Hello!

I’ve just ordered the GIGABYTE B550M AORUS Elite motherboard. My processor is the AMD Ryzen 5 4500. The manufacturer’s website states that updating the BIOS may be required for compatibility with the Ryzen 4000 and 5000 series.

I would like to clarify the following:

How can I find out the revision of the motherboard before shipping? Do you update the BIOS before shipping, or is there an option for this with an additional fee? If I need to update the BIOS myself and cannot do it, where can I turn to for assistance?

I would appreciate any answers or advice on this matter!

There is no indication of the Bios currently installed on the board. that is specced by the original manufacturer before it hits the shelves. After that, the board will not leave the original box.
To get your processor to work you'll need to flash the Bios when booting for the first time. you will need a flashdrive with the new Bios-image. This you will need to do yourself.

ok, I'll try it when it arrives. When flashing the motherboard to a new BIOS according to your instructions, does the warranty disappear?
