Title:
Be quiet! Pure Power 12M (modular) + GPU with 3x8-pin — right cable?
Message:
Hello everyone,
I'm building my PC and have a question about the power supply and GPU connection.
My setup:
Situation:
The PSU came with a single PCIe cable, which has a 12-pin connector on the PSU side and splits to 2 x 6+2-pin (8-pin) on the GPU side . This means I can only power two of the three GPU connectors.
On the PSU itself I see the following modular ports:
Currently I'm using the PCIe port for the included cable (2x8-pin to GPU), but that leaves one 8-pin on the GPU .
My questions:
I want to connect this safely and according to the specifications and would prefer not to use Molex/SATA adapters.
If needed, I can add pictures of the PSU and cables.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hello everyone,
I'm building my PC and have a question about the power supply and GPU connection.
My setup:
- PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W (modular, ATX 3.0)
- GPU: Radeon with 3x 8-pin PCIe power connectors
Situation:
The PSU came with a single PCIe cable, which has a 12-pin connector on the PSU side and splits to 2 x 6+2-pin (8-pin) on the GPU side . This means I can only power two of the three GPU connectors.
On the PSU itself I see the following modular ports:
- 1× PCIe (12-pin)
- 1× PCIe 5.1 (600W / 12VHPWR)
- 2x P8 (CPU/EPS)
- 24-pin ATX for the motherboard
- SATA/Drives connections
Currently I'm using the PCIe port for the included cable (2x8-pin to GPU), but that leaves one 8-pin on the GPU .
My questions:
- Do I need an extra cable to properly power the third 8-pin?
- If so, which cable exactly is suitable for this PSU?
- Can the PCIe 5.1 (600W) port be used with a cable to 8-pin PCIe?
I want to connect this safely and according to the specifications and would prefer not to use Molex/SATA adapters.
If needed, I can add pictures of the PSU and cables.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
