Hello.
First of all,i am sorry, that i am not wrtiting in dutch,as i am not as fluent, especially in technical stuff 😉
One month ago,I have bought INNO3D RTX 5090 iChill Frostbite for my first custom loop build. This is my PC spec:

Asus ROG Hyperion GR701
Seasonic Prime TX1600 Noctua Edition
G.Skill TridentZ Neo RGB 32GB 6000MT/s CL30
Asus ROG Strix X870-A
Ryzen 9 9950X3D
Samsung 980 84€x2 + Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB
nVidia RTX 5090 INNO3D iChill Frostbite
Noctua NF-A12x25: 9x30€
Noctua NF-A14x25 G2
Thermal Grizzly AM5 Contact Frame
Thermal Grizzly WireView 90 Pro GPU 1x12VHPWR
Thermal Grizzly AMD MycroPro Direct Die CPU Block
2x Alphacool HPE ST30 360x30mm Radiator
1x Alphacool XT45 360x45mm Radiator
Aquacomputer D5 100 pump res combo

My room ambient temperature is around 22C. In summer days up to 30c. As for now,all test was done in room temp around 22/23C. Max coolant temperature is 36C. Here you can see screenshot after 1 hour of gaming in Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K DLSS Quality,FG OFF,all settings maxed out,PT ON. GPU was set on stock.

As you can see,my core temp are almost reaching 60C,and GPU memory 80C,which is crazy for me for watercooled card. Thats, aircooled temps. My CPU is delided, and never goes above 77c during benhcmarks apps etc. I have 6 intakes, and 4 exhaust,i have also done custom made plexi back panel with cutout for side radiator,so it can take fresh air,and it's push pull config. there is no air in GPU block, and all system was properly bleeded. For my experience GPU block isn't making good contact with PCB,but inno3d doesnt allow me to open gpu to check it,as it will void the warranty. I have written to INNO3D support, but they didnt respond since 2 weeks. I have also written to meggeko support, and they only suggest was that if i want to i can apply for RMA.

My concern is,i perfeclty know, that these temps are within specs and safe, just they are not 'acceptable' for custom loop gpu. Especially after i saw derbauer review, and asked on the other forums about temps, and people have way lower temps than me. I am just afraid i will sen it for RMA for nothing,as INNO3D will say: "temps are safe, gpu is good,we send it back."

What would you do in my place?

Regards,
Oskar

You are pushing a lot off watts in your cooling system, considering RTX5090 and a 9950X3D (amazing setup btw!)... I think an RMA wont solve your problems. The measured temperatures are perfectly within the safe specs, and even if they test it and use an other loop, for e.g. with a simple ryzen 5 or a lower room temperature, chances are they will measure an even lower tempature.

My initial thougts: take the cooler off, and change thermal pad's on the memory, and the cooling paste on the GPU.
My logical thougts: dont take it off, and use it as is. The current temps wont bother your performance, neither damage your card. I get you'd like too see lower numbers, but you wont experience any drops in FPS. You should ask yourselve; Is it really worth voiding the warranty for a lower temperature? My honest opionion is dont do it.

I'd say, try and play with undervolting the GPU a little; see if that helps. Also check the flow rate of the D5 pump. Some of those pups push crazy volumes of water, at incredible speeds. If the water doesnt have enough time to soak up heat and to dissipate heat in the radatior, your setup might lock at a set water temperature and keep temperatures very stable. You could try and restrict the flow a bit, to see if that helps.
