My very first PC build, I am completely thrilled and stoked after going through the process of a custom PC. On installation I ran through all necessities, configs, setup towards a step-guide to follow. Started with BIOS flash to latest BIOS, setting up the case.
Once complete went through first boot within the Hyte case, came back after some time with a d6 error on the ROG Strix X870E Wifi7 NEO Mobo.
Confused ran through all diagnostics, even went via the mobo HDMI to access BIOS to set the PCIe lane from auto to Gen 4 & 3, did not work.
Later I removed the mobo from the case and directly installed the GPU to the mobo, and tested video output, similar working as a test bench. Everything functions, even gaming with the RTX 5070Ti.
I tried the riser on another PC running I an i5 either 3rd or 4th gen, with a Gigabyte 3GB GPU. After installing the riser and GPU, the AsRock mobo also returned the same error as the Asus with d6.
On Google did see a fair amount of comments regarding the Hyte Y70 case and the riser cable being an issue.
I've also tried to make sure the riser was completely flush with the motherboard, that there wouldn't be any lingering gaps. On the GPU side, well I did insert it, but I cannot directly control for lingering gaps. But also externally mounting the GPU and riser, that also didn't stop the d6 error from showing on both mobos.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
