I think it's one step up from the Ventus but below the Vanguard and Suprim and Suprim liquid. These models are different by component quality, cooler quality and chip binning. The Gaming Trio has a better cooler than the base Ventus and better binning (as it's OC) but I would guess the other components are the same as the Ventus. Anyway whether you get coil whine is a bit of a lottery but the higher class models have a better chance of being good

Yeah I don't think I'm hearing any coil whine on the Astral 5090 so far after a day of full-on benchmarking through 3DMark and Unigine, even managed to secure some top-10 spots in the Hall of Fame here and there.
My AX1200i unit however does have some electrical coil noise but that has already done since being brand new and a friends unit does the exact same so I think that is just a part of the product, luckily the PSU is quite muffled away in the rear of the case so I never really hear it and it's not really obnoxiously loud or anything.
I did however notice the Wireview Pro recording load spikes of 762W, 772W and today when starting up GTA V also 758W, but during actual benchmark runs the power draw stays generally below 600W limit from what I see, the benchmarks were ran at 100% fan speed (3300rpm) on all 4 fans which kept the 12VHPWR connector mostly at 41-43°C at the very maximum, but I read somewhere that load spikes of over 900W is a possibility.
With more moderate fan speeds and 550-580W load in GTA V (e.g. 2300rpm) then I see the 12VHPWR connector warm up a little more towards 47-51°C but that is nowhere near the alarm of 100°C and I believe it is said the plastic only starts melting beyond 180°C
But so far I'm really happy with the product and it's immense power!
ik weet niet of je perse een laptop moet hebben maar ik adviseer geen laptop met zulke hoge specs, ik heb er namelijk zelf een gehad met een 4090 en die beviel mij echt niet werd snel warm waardoor uiteindelijk de koelpasta uitgedroogd is en nu waardeloos laptop geworden is

De GB203 is de chip die de 5080 gebruikt en de 5090 gebruikt een GB202 chip.

Can I have a time travelling device? I need a new one for this 12 year old game with ps3 textures. 😵
But do realize that DSR is a thing, downsampling to native resolution from a higher resolution will give crispy image clarity and anti-aliasing, not like the blurry mess we see with TAA in todays titles or other post-processing AA methods. The 5090 is a heavyweight for this sort of thing because of it's high memory bandwidth.
Also if you refer to this part in this video, he explains that the RTX 5090 is more than double as fast than the RTX 4090 when it comes to 16K resolution on low settings. This is the impact that this high bandwidth makes for high resolution gaming.
So even with a 1440P monitor there is a reason for these cards to be used.
But don't worry I will be playing a whole lot newer titles as well which will tax the card plenty, Cyberpunk 2077 and Doom The Dark Ages are two of those.

I needed a GPU primarily for work, AI-related tasks, productivity, and rendering. I did my research before choosing a model and went with what was available here.
A 4090 would have worked too, but I couldn't find any in stock, and I'm hesitant about buying second-hand due to past issues.
Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to wait since my old workstation broke, and I had been away on holiday for a few weeks. My return to the office coincided with the 5090 release, and honestly, it wasn't really a choice but a necessity.
PSU Update:
So far, I've tested the following:- ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold (my original and current PSU, ATX 3.1, I believe)
- Corsair RM1000x 2024 (ATX 3.1)
- NZXT C1500 (ATX 3.1)

I'll be returning the Corsair and NZXT PSUs tomorrow since the return period for the ASUS has already passed. I would've kept the NZXT, it's a solid unit, but since it doesn't resolve the coil whine, it's not worth the expense.
I would also like to return the 5090 because, from what I've read (and as you mentioned), this unit is generally good when it comes to coil whine, so I probably just got unlucky. The issue is figuring out how to handle the return with my work schedule. Megekko won't offer a replacement or let me return this one and pay the difference for the SUPRIM model, meaning I'd have to go through the full order refund process, which is kind of impossible since I need it for work and I don't have a spare.
That's all from me. Hopefully, the jealousy chain comes to an end, I've just been trying to spread awareness. Wishing you all the best in getting your hands on one soon, and hopefully, these prices drop, right now, they're just not justifiable for an average consumer.

Almost all cards are flown in at the moment via air-freight, that is usually fast. If we have more info, i will put it in the start-post of this topic.
